WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY
Join a great sport with a supportive group of women! Field hockey is a game between two teams using sticks to score a ball in opposite nets on the field. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY to join this group. We'll teach everything you need to know! Many of our players "haven't played since high school," or are brand new to the sport and have never played! All you need is a water bottle, sneakers and your own pair of shin guards. We have some extra sticks and shin guards if you need to borrow to get started. Pick-up style format means no commitment, just come when you can. This is a great mother-daughter, sister-sister activity, a great way to meet new people and get some fun exercise! Must be 16 years or older, guardian signed waiver required for players under 18. Join our Facebook group!
Date: June 25 - August 20, 2018
Days: Mondays

Time: 5:30 Warm-up, 6-7PM Scrimmage

PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and it's taking off in Newport. Combining elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong, the rules are simple for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. The game is played in singles or doubles using a paddle and plastic ball. Played on both indoor and outdoor courts, this drop-in group switches between Gardner Park and the Newport Municipal Gym and other locations around the Kingdom with the weather. For more information on where to find a game or questions on scheduling, please contact Ann or Al. To join, simply stop by ready to play in comfortable clothes and sneakers with a water bottle. No prior experience needed, bring a paddle if you have one.
