    Boat Slip Application
Waitlist:
A waitlist is maintained for boaters seeking a seasonal slip at Newport City Dock. To join, submit accurate contact and vessel information (if applicable) to the Harbormaster. Someone will reach out to collect the $25 non-refundable deposit.
  • The waitlist is updated annually by December 31.
  • Deposits are rolled into the following year if interest is confirmed by submitting a new Annual Boat Slip Waitlist Application.
  • Boaters who do not respond during the annual update will be removed from the list. Re-applicants must submit a new deposit and updated information to rejoin at the bottom of the list.
  • Newport residents receive priority placement.

Slip Assignments: 
​Slip assignments are based on vessel size to ensure proper navigation and secure docking.
  • A vessel’s length must not exceed the assigned dock length by more than one-third.
  • Maximum vessel size: 36 feet.
  • The Harbormaster may grant waivers for larger vessels if safe navigation and other slip holders are not impacted.
Slip fees provide access to a suitable location for your vessel, not a specific slip. The City reserves the right to adjust assignments to ensure safety and optimal dock use.
