Priority and Deadlines:
- Certificates are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis, with preference given to returning boaters until February 28.
- Returning boaters must submit a Boat Slip & Mooring Lease Agreement with a non-refundable deposit by Columbus Day to be considered for the upcoming season.
- Remaining balances are due by February 28. Failure to pay in full by this date will result in reallocation starting March 1.
- Returning boaters who forfeit their seniority will be treated as new applicants.
Renewal Process:
- Submit a Seasonal Slip or Mooring Application with a deposit by closing day at Newport City Dock.
- Applications missing a full deposit, current boat registration, or proof of insurance will be returned.
Payment Options:
- Payments are accepted at the City Dock office (May–October) or the Parks & Recreation office (November–April).
- Accepted methods: cash, check, cashier’s check, or credit card (subject to a 3% processing fee).
- No foreign currency accepted.
- Online payments can be made via your Customer Portal account.
- Off-season payments may be delivered in person or mailed to:

After Registration:
- Confirmation will be sent once the application and payment are complete.
- Allow up to 10 business days for processing during the off-season.
- Slip and mooring locations will be finalized and assigned by March 30 after all vacancies are filled.
