Transient Dockage**
NOTE: Transient slips are assigned based on availability, boat length, draft, and weather. Reservations are recommended but not required. Boaters may arrive at their convenience (see dockage locations below). After-hours arrivals can settle payment the next day after 10:00 AM. Boaters are responsible for their vessel's condition and actions at all times. They must not rely on Harbormaster or dock staff intervention during foul weather. The City of Newport is not liable for damage or loss due to weather, fire, theft, or acts of God. FIRE SAFETY: Portable cooking equipment (e.g., hibachis, charcoal, gas grills) is prohibited on weather decks. Appliances within cabins must be UL-approved and manufacturer-installed. All registered vessels must comply with Vermont boater safety laws, including fire extinguisher requirements. For slips with power and water, marine electrical shore connections must meet NFPA 70 & 303 standards. Violations of fire safety rules result in immediate permit revocation without refund. CONTACT:
