Gardner Memorial Park

Centrally located, Gardner Park is one of the most well known parks in the city. This 20 acre space is home to softball tournaments, community concerts, farmers market, July 4th Celebration, Winter Festival, Spring Carnival and much more! Adjacent to the mouth of the Clyde River, the park is a local hot spot for fishing, kayaking and picnicking. During the summer, the "Skate Shack" and neighboring snack bar offer concessions during peak use times. The park is a popular picnic destination for many families with access to public grills, pavilion, and playground. By winter, the park is transformed into a fully functional ice skating facility.

Winter Ice Rinks
From December to March, locals and visitors flock to Gardner Park and the "Skate Shack" to enjoy beautiful ice rinks, free skate rentals, hot cocoa and restrooms. The contained Hockey Rink is open for casual stick and puck while the Rec Rink on the south end offers public skating.  During the winter, the rinks are open Monday-Friday 3:00 - 8:00PM, and 10AM-8:00PM on weekends and school vacation days. For rink conditions, check our Facebook Page.
