Preschool Play World

When the weather turns cold, the Newport Municipal Gym transforms to an indoor playground fit for the tiniest people in the Kingdom. Preschool Play World is a drop-in playgroup where babies, toddlers and caregivers can gather to socialize and explore in a fun environment. Geared toward children age zero to six years, the program promotes imaginative play and healthy exercise with many activities and toys. Babies will love the soft play mats, indoor swings and jumpers while older toddlers keep busy on slides and play castles. Plus, seasonal visits from familiar guests like the Easter Bunny and Santa make holiday times at Play World even more special!

Preschool Play World is free and open to both residents and non-residents. Snacks and baby changing stations are available on site. Please remove your shoes upon arrival and don't forget to sign in!   Donations are encouraged.

Playworld Rules:
  • This program and equipment is intended for children ages 0-5 years.
  • Limit cell phone use and be present to supervise your child at all times.
  • Assist children with snacks and eat at designated tables to keep our play area clean and tidy.
  • Assist children with craft supplies and complete one project at a time.
  • Keep bikes and vehicles in the riding area only.
  • Help with clean-up is always appreciated at the end of the program.
