Rules & Regulations
By Checking In, Guests Agree to The Following Rules...
CAMPGROUND EXPECTATIONS: Campers must back into sites, no exceptions. All vehicles must obey posted speed limits and are restricted to roads and parking areas maintained for traffic. Parking, loading, or unloading is not permitted on grassy areas without prior permission from park staff. ATVs are permitted on campsites, but trailers must be registered with the office and stored in the designated storage area. Anyone operating an ATV, golf-cart or other motorized equipment must be at least 16 years old. To reduce odors from RVs, all units must use a sewer donut. Gray water and other direct discharges on the ground from any camping unit is not permitted. Water pressure is quite strong at our campground so RVs should use a water pressure reducer. Fires must always be attended and under control. Burning garbage or using fire rings as a receptacle for rubbish is not acceptable. Children must always be supervised. Lifeguards are not on duty and swimming in the lake is at your own risk.
BE CONSIDERATE TO OTHERS: Please travel and camp quietly to avoid disturbing neighbors. Loud music, fireworks, explosives, and firearms are prohibited in the park. Please respect non-smoking areas like restrooms, laundry facilities, shelters, playground, athletic fields, and other public park amenities. Bikes, skateboards, roller blades and scooters are not permitted on basketball, tennis, or shuffleboard courts.
RESPECT NATURE: Wildlife is plentiful here and we ask that all guests observe from afar to avoid disturbing native creatures. Give animals a wide berth and respect habitat areas. Please do not feed wildlife and be sure to store food scraps securely while camping. Never hammer nails into trees or impact vegetation with clippers, hatchets, or saws. Do not damage bark and roots by tying things to trees. Leave only footprints, take only pictures.
Most of these rules are based on common respect for fellow campers and our shared environment. Failure to adhere to the campground rules
may result in eviction without refund, suspension of future reservations or additional charges for clean-up and repair. Campers are responsible
for informing all guests and visitors of the campground rules. The City of Newport is not responsible for accidents, loss or theft of personal
property while visiting Prouty Beach Campground.
